New Releases for OPI in Australia - 2010 Pink of Hearts Limited Edition

Ok, this is a special post. This one is one I want you to take notice of. Pretty please. OPI has just released their 2010 Pink of Hearts polish. Here's what OPI has to say about it.

During the month of October, OPI joins the pink parade to raising funds to find a cure for cancer with the exclusive production of the limited edition Pink of Hearts 2010 nail lacquer where 100% of profits will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

With the aim of raising another $25,000, OPI is proud to be a Silver Sponsor of the National Breast Cancer Foundation and assist in their funding of research programs into the prevention and cure of breast cancer, which affects 1 in 9 Australian women by the age of 85

This year’s Pink of Hearts lacquer shade is feminine soft pale shimmery pink, similar to fairy dust. Wearing this year’s Pink of Hearts will make you feel like a princess.

Over the last few years, International Beauty Supplies, Australian distributors of OPI and our consumers have helped to raise over $75,000 for breast cancer research. In our own special way, OPI aims to support those with the disease and honour those affected by it; and give all women the power to help make a difference.
I believe in leading by example, so I went out and tracked this one down. It's a very feminine colour, not what I would usually choose for myself, but I find myself really liking it.

The polish is a dream to apply and has a pretty special shimmer to it. It makes me feel like a princess when I wear it. It's def a keeper.

This is two coats.

This is two coats with some Konad. I used plate M56 for the stamping and Konad black special polish. It kind of reminds me of the jackets the Pink Ladies wore in Grease. Man I love that movie.

As mentioned before the profits from this polish goes to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. This is an issue close to home for me as we have a family history of breast cancer, so I strongly urge everyone to get behind this campaign. A great polish for a great cause.

You can find this polish a David Jones for the month on October. It is a limited edition polish, so make sure you snap up your bottle quickly. I am unsure if this is just an Australian release or not, can any of my US readers help me? Has this polish been released over there? If there was ever anything that could convince you to pay $20 for a bottle of polish, I really think this should be it.

I'll be back later to announce the winner of my MAC giveaway. I also added a second prize because there were so many entries.

Be awesome to each other.

  2. Hi Alicia,

Makes it hard when you aren't buying. Lol. It's interesting how many beauty products do a breast cancer product. I mean, it's good for their sales too, obviously targeting their campaign at the women who it effects the most is a smart move. But hey, anything for charity right?

  12. Hi Jonna,

I thought it was funky but cute. The pink on it's own was just a wee bit too girly for me, but I am super happy with the end result.

  13. Hi Frankie,

Good for you! Every little bit really does count. I find I do go out of my way to purchase something that donates some of the proceeds to charity. Everyone wins that way, and you don't feel so bad about justifying those more expensive items.
