Zoya Isla + Bundle Monster Stamping

Happy Monday!
Or not, whatever. Anyway...today's NOTD are Zoya Isla. This polish was part of the Autumn 2009 Zoya Truth or Dare Collection, which consisted of 12 polishes - six shimmers (Truth) and six (mostly) cremes (Dare). I really like this collection, I have three of the truth polishes (Isla, Salma, Anaka) and want to get my hands on a couple of the dare ones too.
I really like Isla, I think it's my fav from the collection because, well, I'm a sucker for a pretty red.

I recently gave in and purchased the stamping plates from Bundle Monster too, so I thought it might be time to give them a crack too. These plates are really good value for money. The plate edges are sharpish and they do not have the backing on them that the Konad ones do, but that could be rectified by putting some kind of label over the back to make the plate thicker and make it slip around less. The designs are etched much deeper then other fauxnad style plates, which makes lifting the image so much easier. However the full nail designs are really narrow, so I'm not sure how they will go on my nails. I'll have to try that pretty soon, so I'll keep you guys updated.

I used the plate with the spider web design because I thought it was super cute, the problem with this one is because the lines of the web are so fine, it didn't pick them all up - but I actually though this added to design. Or maybe I'm just nuts? Who knows?

I used white Konad special polish, the same polish in my giveaway. Which you should totally enter if you haven't already. Stamping is what the cool people do.
Ok that's it from me. Enter my comp here and be awesome to each other.

  1. hmm..for fine designs maybe you can try a less thick white nail polish?

Apparentely for the black konad it doesn't pick up fine details very well but wet and wild black creme picks up fine details really well so I'm thinking try a wet and wild white?

  3. Hi Shortnails,

I thought about that after stamping. I find that the Konad princess polishes that are shimmery are much better for fine lines, but the base colours like plain black, white etc not so much. Thanks for the tip!

  4. Heya Steph!

Red polish just makes my day that little bit better. I don't know why - it just does. This one is the perfect red for me (other then Ruby Pumps that is). A little bit of shimmer, but a rich colour that just knocks your socks off.

  5. The stamping effect is cool. And that red is my favorite type of red; vampy and sparkly.
