So OPI has been really good with the Swiss collection and now the new Burlesque collection in releasing them for us ladies here in Australia without the massive wait we normally face when it comes to new released from the big American Brands.

I'm excited so much by this collection. For started there are six of those amazing glitters that OPI makes. I imagine the polish world will go a bit nuts over these much like they did over the release over previous glitters like Mad As A Hatter and Absolutely Alice. Lets have a bit of a look at that glitters in this collection shall we?

Bring on the Bling

They say - A gold glitter that is beyond dazzling
I say - A predominantly gold glitter with blue, red, possibly pink and maybe a bit of orange glitter in random sizes from what I can see.

Sparkle-icious

They say - If you want to stand out in the crowd, try this multi coloured glitter-icious Sparkle-icious
I say - This polish makes me happy. It's like confetti. A mixture of lots of different coloured glitters. Kind of like the pictures you did in pre school where you smeared glue on the paper and dumped as much and as many different coloured glitters on the paper as you can. I can see gold, purple, pink, blue in fairly even amounts.

Simmer & Shimmer

They say - Get the party started with thei sparkling blue glitter
I say -  Another blue/ gold combo, but nothing like Absolutely Alice in that it is lighter, with noticeable amounts of other colours mixed in. I can see silver, a pinky/ red/ purple and definitely some orange.

Glow Up Already

They say - Match your green party frock to this glittery green number
I say - I've heard that this one is quite similar to Bring on the Bling, but with a little green glitter mixed in. I won't know for sure until I see it in person though.

Show It & Glow It!

They say - Dont' be afraid to show off your party nails in this burgundy multi coloured glitter
I say - Looks to me like a purple and silver glitter combo with glitter size ranging from normal to micro. Looks like there is a little orange and blue thrown in there too. Whatever it is, it's stunning.

Extra-va-vaganza

They say - Scream for attention in this over the top orange glitter
I say - This looks like a combination orange and gold glitter. I keep thinking I can see flashes of blue in there, but I can't find any when I look at it really closely. I don't get the name of this one. Is it perhaps an obscure reference to something in the movie? It just looks like a plain old typo to me.

We'll look at the rest of the collection in the next couple of days.

The Burlesque collection is available now at David Jones stores RRP $19.95

That's it from me today.

Ok, so there are plenty of celeb collaborations coming out soon and promo pics are starting to be released. Here's a sneaky peak at what's coming up.

First up is the OPI/ Serena Williams collaboration The Grand Slam Collection. My understanding is that OPI will release four lots of two colours to coincide with each of the major tennis tournaments, the first being the Australian Open, which means the first set will be out in January.
(**Pic from OPI FaceBook page**)

Now, I know the fact that there is a cracking polish in this set will excite my overseas readers who can't get enough of, or even get their hands on BYS cracking polishes. However the promo picture shows the polish in just patches, I have never seen a cracking polish do that, in fact, I don't even know how that kind of effect is possible to tell you the truth. I think the end result will look much like any other cracking polish you've ever seen.

The polishes in the collection are called Simply Smashing and Black Shatter. I kind of had images in my head of Simply Smashing being tennis ball yellow. How awesome would that be?

Moving right along, OPI also have a collaboration with Katy Perry coming up. I am pretty excited about this. Katy seems like my kind of girl when it comes to nail polish and design. Did you see that time she had Oompa Loompas on her nails? Killer.

Left to right - Last Friday Night, Not Like The Movies, The One That Got Away, Teenage Dream and Black Shatter.

They all look pretty good to me. OPI are trying to get that Black Shatter polish out to us in a big way. I think this is going to lead to all the big brands inundating us with crackle polishes, not that that's a bad thing.

A quick look at the Oompa Loompa nails just because they are awesomesauce.

Then we have the collaboration that has pretty much convinced me that Armageddon is upon us. Justin Beiber and Nicole by OPI. I shit you not. I honestly thought this was a joke when I first heard it. Yeah, well, it's totally not. So teeny boppers and "too scared to admit loving him for fear of being locked in prison" adults unite! Here we go - The One Less Lonely Girl Collection.
Left to right - Me + Blue, Step 2 the Beat of My Heart, Give Me the First Dance, One Less Lonely Glitter, Prized Possession Purple, OMB!

Wow. Those names. Just...wow. I can't even imagine how embarrassing it would be to own even one of these polishes. (**I don't suppose anyone can pick me up a bottle of Step 2 the Beat of My Heart? You know, just between you and me.) Available Dec 2010.

Then we have the Nicole by OPI Gossip Girl Collection, which I believe is out now for all you peeps in the States. I am loving this whole collection and would love to get my mitts on them!

Left to right - Party in the Penthouse, Too Rich for You, Nicole...Spotted! and Scandals, Secrets and Sparkle.

Moving away from collaborations, we have Essie's 2010 A Winter's Tale Collection.

I am pretty sure I want, no need, this whole collection.

So I think that is just about it for now. Have I left any major collections out? I'm sure I have. Let me know and I'll follow it up with a part two.
What polishes are you loving, what are you leaving? Is there an entire collection that you want or think is the worst idea ever?
Also, I am going to set up a poll of the Bloom polishes that people want to see swatches of. Keep an eye out for that, because I would really love to know what you guys want to see more of. If you have any requests, please leave me a comment or send me though an email.
That's it from me today.
