OPI Merry Midnight

I have no idea how I functioned for so long without knowing this polish existed. I was looking through the shelves of polish for sale at my local salon an came across this little gem. I even paid the $20 for the bottle without cringing too much.
This is Merry Midnight. It's a dark purple jelly base with blue glitter and red flakies mixed in. Awesome right? I wore it just as a straight polish for a few days, which I forgot to take photos of, then added some nail art just because I could. (**EDIT - I repainted one nail with just plain polish so you guys could see it without the nail art**)

I'm getting better at freehand nail art. I stuck to my rule of only having the design once because I cannot replicate what I have done before. I changed each of the designs just a tiny bit with each finger.

So what do you think? Winner? This was two coats, drying time was great and minimal wear and no big chunks missing after 3 days. Hooray for that.

That's it from me.

Be awesome to each other.

  6. Hi Arsyparsy,

I'm sure it looks fabulous on you too, although I think this is a polish that would only suit certain skintones.

  10. Hi Alice,

I'll let you in on a little secret. I had a few bottles of nail striping polish open on the table and accidentally dripped some hot pink into the white bottle, so ta-da, barely pink art! The gold seemed like a natural fit, and the glitter? Well, everything is better with glitter.
