New Releases for OPI in Australia - Summer Flutters

Ok, so these ones have been released overseas already since it is a seasonal mini collection, but now it's our turn. The OPI Summer Flutter Collection will be available for purchase here on our fair shores in late October - YAY! Here's a look at what's on offer.

Flit a Bit

What OPI says - A bright orange that goes here, there and everywhere.
What I say - Here kitty, kitty. This reminds me of tigers. One of the very few completely wearable oranges I have seen. Love it. This is two coats.

Flower-to-Flower

What OPI says - You will be skipping from Flower-to-Flower in this vibrant hot pink.
What I say - I wouldn't call this hot pink, barbie pink for sure. Either way, killer colour. It's odd that the press release doesn't mention the best part of this polish nor is it alluded to in any way with the promo bottle pic. You can see it in my pictures...the silver shimmer/micro glitter. I have no idea what it is exactly, but it gives a the same effect as glass fleck, but with a much finer grain. I looooove this colour. I didn't think much of it from the promo pic, but this shade is a must have. My favourite of the collection.

Catch Me in Your Net

What OPI says - Capture the most desirable summer shade, shimmery teal with Catch Me in Your Net.
What I say - So pretty. Like a mermaid. Sea green like sparkly sun hitting the water off the beach on one of those stunning islands is how I would describe this polish. It is quite sheer, so it takes 3 coats to build up the colour, but worth it.
Wing It!
What OPI says - Just Wing It! this summer and let your heart soar with this shimmery shade of fuchsia.
What I say - No comment at this time. I haven't seen this one in person yet.

So what's the verdict on these? Spot on or way off?
I've extended the deadline for the MAC Giveaway over the weekend til midnight Sunday. As long as it's midnight somewhere, the draw is still open. Winner will still be announced Monday as will my new giveaway. Enter here if you haven't yet.
That's it from me.
Be awesome to each other.

  6. Hi Pixie D,

It is a sttunning choice. It would have been my favourie of the collection if I hadn't already seen a similar shade with Zoya Charla.

The glitter/shimmer look is a spot on trend that I don't think is going anywhere any time soon.

  7. Hi Leslie,

Great choice. The colours are all super cute. I think I may need to think about a giveaway using the mini set of these that I saw in store yesterday.

  10. Hi Irenka,

I saw a bottle of Wing It! at the store last night, I think you are right, I must have it. Lol. It has what looks like a blue glitter/ shimmer in a redish pink jelly base? Does that sound about right?

And thanks for following me and the comment about the swatches. I think I finally have my lighting for the photos set up the way I like with my new light box, so I'm glad you're liking the way they are looking these days.

  11. Hi Ipehishere,

Flit a Bit is an AMAZING colour on. I find a lot of oranges that are released too harsh to be wearable, but this shade is the perfect balance of warm and cool. Very awesome.
