CG Flip Flop Fantasy

Today's NOTD is China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy. This polish is part of the 2010 Poolside Collection. It's a super bright coral-orange-pink colour, is that even a colour? Oh well, it is now. It's kinda hard to describe, but it seems like a fairly unique shade.
I didn't like this one on me at first, but after wearing it for a while, now I do.

I had a problem making this one opaque. I don't usually have this problem with China Glaze, but it took me 5 coats on one hand, which just wouldn't dry and a base of white with 2 more coats over the top on the other. I don't know if this is the case for the whole collection. It seems a little weird, cause the polish was thick, but not opaque. Anyway, a white base coat helped with the VNL. I finished the look off with a bit of black and white striping tape.

**One thing I have learned about striping tape - make sure your nails are totally dry before applying or it sinks right into the polish, same goes with some decals. If the polish is only partly dry, the glue on the decal or tape will pull the polish inwards creating really nasty ridges and dents in your polish.**

That's it for me today. Stay tuned though. I have a great giveaway coming up in the next day or so. Be awesome to each other.

  4. Love this manicure. That's the only color I bought from this collection. I like the stripes only on a few nails. Thanks for the hints. I didn't know that would happen.
